Chinese Money Trail: House Committee Uncovers $40,000 Payment to Joe Biden

House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer has released compelling evidence, including a video and bank records memorandum, detailing a $40,000 payment to Joe Biden. This payment, originating from what investigators describe as laundered Chinese Money, was routed through the accounts of his brother, James Biden, and sister-in-law, Sara Biden. The revelation comes in the form of a personal check made out to Joe Biden.

Check to Joe Biden for $40,000, Memo line reads “Loan Repayment”, drawn from Sara Biden’s personal checking account sourced from Chinese funds.

The timeline of financial transactions, as outlined in the House Committee’s findings, begins in July 2017. Hunter Biden, the President’s son, allegedly demanded a substantial $10 million capital payment from Raymond Zhao, an associate linked to CEFC, a Chinese energy company with ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Hunter Biden reportedly claimed his father, Joe Biden, was present during this demand. The Biden family’s connections with CEFC predate this event, extending back to Joe Biden’s time as Vice President.

Following Hunter Biden’s demand, on August 8, 2017, Northern International Capital, identified as a Chinese company affiliated with CEFC, transferred $5 million to Hudson West III. Hudson West III was a joint venture established by Hunter Biden and Gongwen Dong, another CEFC associate. On the same day, a significant portion of these funds, $400,000, was moved from Hudson West III to Owasco, P.C., an entity owned and controlled by Hunter Biden.

The flow of funds continued within the Biden family network. On August 14, 2017, Hunter Biden wired $150,000 to Lion Hall Group, a company belonging to President Biden’s brother James and his sister-in-law Sara Biden. Weeks later, on August 28, 2017, Sara Biden withdrew $50,000 in cash from Lion Hall Group. Later the same day, she deposited this cash into her and James Biden’s personal checking account. This series of transactions culminated on September 3, 2017, when Sara Biden wrote a check to Joe Biden for $40,000. The check was marked as a “loan repayment.”

Chairman Comer emphasized the implications of these findings in a released video statement, directly referencing President Biden’s previous denials about his son’s financial dealings in China. Comer highlighted that the $40,000 payment to Joe Biden was not just connected to China, but originated from funds that appear to have been laundered through a complex series of transactions designed to obscure their source.

The House Oversight Committee argues that even if the $40,000 check was indeed a loan repayment from James Biden to Joe Biden, as indicated on the check’s memo line, it still raises serious ethical questions. The funds used for this repayment were derived from the Biden family’s business activities linked to CEFC, a Chinese company with close ties to the CCP. The committee suggests that without the Biden family leveraging Joe Biden’s name and influence, particularly Hunter Biden’s alleged threats to a CEFC associate, James Biden would not have had the financial capacity to make such a payment to his brother.

Furthermore, the investigation points out that the Biden family’s efforts to cultivate financial relationships with this Chinese company began while Joe Biden was still serving as Vice President. The committee argues that by accepting funds ultimately sourced from a CCP-linked entity with vested interests in advancing China’s agenda, Joe Biden potentially exposed himself to undue influence and prioritized personal financial gain over American interests.

The House Oversight Committee has stated its commitment to continuing its investigation, tracing the flow of money, and holding President Biden accountable for what it describes as corruption. The committee has made available further resources and information related to their ongoing investigation into the Biden family’s financial activities.
