Sending money through the Messages app is a quick and convenient method. Apple Cash is set as your default payment method, but you can also choose to send money directly from your debit card.
Send Money on Your iPhone:

Open the Messages app and select an existing conversation or start a new one.

Tap the plus icon (+) located next to the message field, then select Apple Cash. Enter the amount you wish to send and tap “Send”.

Optionally, add a comment that will appear in the transaction history for both you and the recipient. This helps in easily tracking your “Sends Money” transactions.

With “Manually Accept Payments” enabled, you must manually accept each payment within the Messages app conversation by tapping “Accept” within 7 days.

Setting Up Apple Cash for First-Time Users
If someone “sends money” to you and you haven’t set up Apple Cash, you’ll see an “Accept” prompt in the message. Tapping “Accept” will guide you through the Apple Cash setup process. You have 7 days to accept the payment and complete the setup.
Rejecting a Payment in Wallet if Necessary
- To reject a payment, open the Wallet app on your iPhone, tap your Apple Cash card, and find the payment in “Latest Transactions”.
- Tap on the payment, tap it again to view details, and then tap “Reject Payment”.
